A press conference will take place tomorrow at the Liceo Artistico of the “Francesco Degni” Institute in Torre del Greco to present the initiative “Coral & Cameos – Catwalk and Exhibition”, promoted by Assocoral in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in London and ICE – Italian Trade Agency, on the occasion of the National Made in Italy Day.
The press conference will represent the central moment of engagement with the local community and the media, during which the objectives, content, and vision of the event—scheduled for April 15th at the Residence of the Italian Embassy in London—will be presented.
During the meeting, the strategic importance of the coral and cameo sector will be highlighted, as a historic excellence of Made in Italy and a key identity element of Torre del Greco, internationally recognized as the leading center for the processing of these organic materials.
A particularly meaningful moment of the conference will be the live cameo carving demonstration performed by a master instructor from the “Francesco Degni” Institute. This ancient gesture, passed down through generations, will allow attendees to closely experience the complexity and value of a fully handcrafted process.
The London event will feature both an exhibition and a fashion show, designed to present coral and cameo not merely as products, but as cultural expressions of a unique territory between Mount Vesuvius and the sea.
Through this initiative, Assocoral reaffirms its commitment to promoting the Torre del Greco district internationally, strengthening the connection between tradition, education, and global markets.
